Power harassment and sexual harassment are rampant in many places in Japan due to very low gender awareness.
I myself am currently experiencing power harassment.
It is harassment.
One month ago, I was suddenly told that your job was gone and that I had to do another job.
I thought that if it was not there, I had no choice but to work at the new job.
But the truth was different.
They assumed that I was not doing my job properly.
They assumed that without interviewing me or even listening to me, and assigned me heavy workloads.
There is a tremendous amount of peer pressure in Japan.
What do you think is the result of this?
Corruption like that of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) politicians of today.
They do not allow people to voice their opinions about what is wrong, but simply treat them like slaves.
If they don't like it, they should quit, and there are other people who can replace them.
Fear like this causes people to lose their voices more and more, to be deprived of proper vision, and even to shut down their thinking.
The same can be said for sexual harassment.
Recently, a court ruling was issued for the humiliating behavior that Mr. Gonoi, a member of the Self-Defense Forces, was subjected to by a colleague.
He was sentenced to two years in prison and a four-year suspended sentence.
I think it is a light sentence, but I appreciate the fact that the crime was properly evaluated.
In the workplace, women pay attention to the various ways of communicating with each other and use language to facilitate communication. Men are said to somehow switch off their circuits when a woman says or does something out of her own goodwill.
Since the woman has shown a sign that she is interested in him, he should be fine with this. Such misconceptions grow and create a climate in which those in power commit humiliating acts against those below them.
Are there any surviving samurai-like men who would point this out?
No. As mentioned above, the descendants of the samurai have been reduced to frightened puppies.
It is the women of today who have begun to rise up when they can no longer depend on such puppies.
Many men insult them by saying that they have become strong-willed, egotistical, assertive, and not very pretty.
If you are dependable, women will not go to fight on their own.
Can you protect me?

Service workers are expected to smile and be friendly, but to do so even to customers who do not know the proper distance is to endanger their safety.
It is completely anachronistic to say that women should be under men and men should be under women in the year 2022, without any consideration for such things.
That is why the economy did not grow for 30 years.
They did not see the severity of reality.
While we were indulging in self-praising Cool Japan, we have become a country with nothing to show for it.
To be honest, I have no seniors whom I can respect.
They use all kinds of gimmicks, put others down and laugh at them in the shadows, and this is why bullying of children will never stop.
There are really too many low-level things going on.
I am a little naive today, wondering if my efforts will ever be recognized.
In historical Japanese tales, the brave and virtuous samurai was the protagonist. In contemporary Japanese tales, the protagonist is a perverted fool whose primary objective is to decide which women he will sleep with. What kind of role models do Japanese men have? Men who are strong from sheer genetic advantage: those who are born with superpowers and had no struggle to become great. Fight scenes in anime are more detached from reality than the mythical folklore of times past, as these ancient tales at least had something to say about superstitions and social fears. The Japanese highschool is merely a setting for cheap, youthful romance. How rare is it to come across an anime that truly covers corporal punishment by teachers or mistreatment by indulgent parents? The real social problems are pushed aside in order to appeal to yet another desparate romantic fantasy targeted towards men who have never understood what it means to become someone that they themselves can respect.
ReplyDeletePeople in the West say, "Love yourself," but one cannot truly love himself unless he is someone deserving of love. To be a conformist in an evil society is to be evil, and all societies have their evils. It's no wonder there is no real interpersonal respect between men and women beyond the farce of the polite smile: everyone is raised to be self-loathing, and in hating themselves they quickly learn to hate others as well.
Yes. Japanese folk tales and historical dramas always had a heavy and painful reality in the background that resembled a moral. However, as you say, modern anime is constructed with the ideal that a beautiful woman will appear and make your life glitter. Any respectable adult should understand that this is impossible. However, weak men who cannot take responsibility for their own lives hope for this fable somewhere in their hearts. There are many such people. They are angry that they do not make an effort and do not get the rights that should be given to them. This only widens the gap between men and women. Many women lose their lives because they do not improve themselves, believe that the opposite sex has the right to comment on their ugly appearance, or have the extremely annoying delusion that they must be interested in them. Every time I hear such a report on the news, I hold my head in my hands.
